Our group will be conducting the majority of our volunteer work in the quiet town of Iringa, which is located in the highlands of central Tanzania. You will be participating in light construction work, painting classrooms and building school desks.

Safari will take place in a very remote part of Tanzania, which boats the largest concentration of game in all of Tanzania – Ruaha National Park. While in Zanzibar, you will learn about the slave trade, tour the ancient city of Stone Town and partake in a traditional island spice tour. You will end your time in Africa on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar.

Dar es Salaam

Our group will arrive in Dar es Salaam late evening from our flight from the US. The following morning, after breakfast, you will be free to lounge by the pool and catch up on some sleep before we depart on our flight to Iringa for the start of our volunteer work.

Iringa Town - Volunteer Work

Located on the high plateau in central Tanzania, the sleep town of Ingra will serve as the site where our volunteer work will be conducted. Service work includes painting classrooms, building desks and light construction.

Ruaha National Park

The largest national park in all of Tanzania, Ruaha is virtually untouched, providing an authentic opportunity to explore on of the last unspoiled parks in all of Africa.

Whether you choose to walk or travel by 4 x 4, your time spent on safari will prove to be a once in a lifetime experience. Ruaha has all the predators with high concentrations of lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and elephant.

Stone Town

Learn the history of the slave trade and tour old slave quarters in the caves by the sea. Explore castles and the home of Dr. Livingstone, plantation spice tours, and marvel at the famous Zanzibar doors and their elephant spikes.
