Scholarship Fund

Thank you for your interest in applying to The Zuri Project Scholarship Fund.

Since our founding, we’ve been committed to providing world-class educational experiences to all teens/young adults who participate in our programs, regardless of income. Zuri firmly believes that such opportunities should be made available for all those who wish to see and experience the world through an unfiltered lens.

A Note From Zuri Founder – Jenn Hofmann

Twenty-five years ago I applied to, and was accepted, into a program in South Africa, much like the Zuri programs we offer today. At the time, my parents were not able to pay the $5,000 fee to participate. It was my grandmother, Gail Hamel, who paved the way for me to go and it changed my life forever.

Our scholarship program is unique in that your donation can be specifically applied to a child of your choosing and/or into our general scholarship fund. If you opt for our general fund, (which is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law) the recipient of your donation will provide you with an award confirmation letter as well as a follow-up letter detailing the participants trip experience upon their return to the US.

My grandmother always believed that we should be determined to live for something. To create joy for others. To give freely to the world our love and compassion. To not concern yourself with how much you receive in return, just know in your heart it will be returned. Grandma – a wise and special soul indeed.
